On November 7, 2006, Judge Elizabeth Davis Frizell was elected as the new judge for Dallas County Criminal Court #11. In this close race, Judge Frizell prevailed over her Republican opponent by receiving more than 53% of the votes. Many other judical candidates from the Democratic Party also walked away as winners in this election.

Judge Frizell began serving in this court on January 2, 2007. Judge Frizell is running for re-election this year to show her continued commitment to integrity, honesty and fairness.
